HOW TO REQUEST ACCOUNT DELETION
If you'd like to delete your WineFoo account and associated data, follow these simple steps:
Send an email to kellerkollektiv@gmail.com
Include your full name and the email address associated with your WineFoo account
Write "Delete my account" in the subject line
We'll process your request within 30 days and confirm via email when complete
Confirmation Email:
When you submit your deletion request, you will receive an automatic confirmation email acknowledging receipt. This confirms we received your request.
Processing timeline:
- Typical processing: 5-10 business days
- Maximum processing: 30 days per GDPR
- You'll receive a final confirmation email when deletion is complete
WHAT GETS DELETED?
When you request account deletion, here's what happens to your data:
Account Profile & Info - DELETED Your email, display name, and account status will be removed.
Subscription History - DELETED Premium subscription records will be deleted.
Usage & Activity Data - DELETED Wine selections and pairing history will be removed.
Analytics Data - DELETED Anonymized analytics will be deleted within 30 days.
Backup Copies - DELETED (within 1 year) Retained briefly for disaster recovery, then deleted.
Legal/Compliance Records - RETAINED (1 year) Kept only for legal compliance and audit trails.
PLANNED FEATURES
WineFoo is developing account features including:
- Restore purchases on new devices
- Sync wine pairing history across devices
- Additional personalization features
If you delete your account before these features launch, we cannot restore your data later. Account deletion is permanent.
Important: Once deleted, your account and data cannot be recovered. This action is permanent.

Q: Will deleting my account cancel my subscription?
A: Your subscription will be cancelled when your account is deleted. Make sure to cancel through your app store settings first to avoid being charged again. You can cancel anytime through Settings → Subscriptions on iOS or Google Play Store on Android.
Q: How long does deletion take?
A: We process deletion requests within 30 days. Most requests are completed faster. We'll send you a confirmation email when your account has been deleted.
Q: Can I download my data before deleting?
A: Yes. Email us at kellerkollektiv@gmail.com and request a copy of your data. We'll provide it in a portable format (JSON or CSV) within 30 days.
Q: Is there a way to recover my account after deletion?
A: No. Account deletion is permanent. Once deleted, your data cannot be recovered. If you change your mind, you can create a new account by signing in again with your Google or Apple credentials.
Q: Will my wine pairing history be deleted?
A: Yes. All your wine selections, pairing history, and preferences will be deleted. We won't retain any information about your usage patterns.
